Time Traverler's Wife Held Over!

September 29, 2009

Movies for October 2 – October 8, 2009
“Julie and Julia” PG-13
“The Time Travelers Wife” PG-13

Hello Movie Goers,

Same movies this week. We tried for everything we could think of, but since their aren’t many movies coming out, the multi-plexes are holding on to what they have. Several studios said next week there would be some availability for some of the movies we’ve been waiting for. Hopefully there will be much better news next week!

See you at the movies.

Sincerely,

Gemini Cinemas

Hello Movie Goers,

This week we get to keep “Julie and Julia” which everyone is enjoying, and the long awaited “Time Traveler’s Wife”.

“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” is still on the list for as soon as we can get it.

We’re looking at “The Invention of Lying” and will find out if Warner Bros. is making enough prints for us to start it next week. Otherwise, we’ll continue to pick up the films we weren’t able to get on the break as they come available.

See you at the movies.

Thanks,

Tana

We finally get “JULIE AND JULIA”!  I can’t wait to see it.

Also showing is “Ponyo”.

Terminator: Salvation

Movies for September 11 – September 17, 2009
“The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” PG
“Terminator: Salvation” PG-13

Hello Movie Goers,

It was about the toughest week ever to get movies this week.  Everyone is holding on to what they have and the studios are not making enough prints for everyone that wants them to get them.  It’s definitely the slow season for the movie business.

“The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” is a really good show.  Definitely a John Wayne classic.

I’ll find out Friday about “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” to start on Sept. 18th.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks for your support!
See you at the movies.

Movies for September 4 – September 10, 2009
“The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” PG
“My Sister’s Keeper” PG-13

Hello Movie Goers,

I am so excited to be getting the 1962 classic of, “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” starring John Wayne and James Stewart! I have been wanting to get a John Wayne film for a long time and was finally able to track down a 35 mm print still in circulation. Out of over 30 film depots across the country, there happened to be a print in the St. Louis depot, which is the depot that distributes to our theater! It was too good an opportunity to pass up.

We are also getting “My Sister’s Keeper! I’m so glad we finally had a week available for it.

We’ll continue to try for “Julie and Julia” – no prints were available this week. There were not enough prints of “What About Steve?” for us to get it on the break. I’ve got us down on Sony’s wish list for “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” to start on the 18th. I should find out by next week if we can get it right off the bat.

Whoa, I almost forgot, there will be a 1:00 Matinee for both shows on Monday, September 7, Labor Day at 1:00.

See you at the movies!

Sincerely,

Tana
